Fire Hall Photo Contest 2024: And the Winner Is…

Thanks for supporting our local firefighters!

This year’s campaign saw 43 participants and over 12,000 likes across the Maritimes. With your help, we’re able to support fire halls with funding for equipment, buildings and training.

We’re grateful to everyone who liked, shared and submitted to our Fire Hall Photo Contest. Find this year’s winning submissions at the links below.

Nova Scotia Winners

  • 1st Place: Indian Brook Volunteer Fire Department
  • 2nd Place: Station 55 Seabright Firefighters Association

New Brunswick Winners

  • 1st Place: Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Department
  • 2nd Place: Canterbury Fire Department

Prince Edward Island Winners

  • 1st Place: Souris Fire Department
  • 2nd Place: East River Volunteer FIre Department

How It Works

1. Submit Photo: Submit a photo that best represents your fire hall. Submissions are open for fire halls across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI. We will confirm your submission and follow up with next steps.

2. Gather Likes: Starting in October, we’ll post your submissions on our Facebook page. We strongly suggest you submit as early as possible to have the most amount of time to promote your photo.

3. Most Likes Win: The winning photos are decided by the total number of likes they accumulate before the end of the contest.

Prizes

  • $5000 for the photo with the most likes each in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI
  • $1000 for the photo with the second-most likes each in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI

Non-Competing Entries

Past winners cannot re-submit for two years. If you won first or second place in 2020, than 2023 would be your next eligible submission time. Non-competing entries are welcome for larger fire halls, or recent winners that want to support the cause. These entries are clearly marked, but a great way to generate awareness around recruitment.

How to Win

Check out our How-To-Win Guide for strategies, tips and contest guidelines on promoting your fire hall. Every like counts!

Wondering who’s already entered? Each marker on our Fire Hall Entry Map represents a fire hall that has submitted a photo to the campaign. Please spread the word in your area if you don’t see your local fire hall.
