NS Healthcare Hero: James Holmes

“After witnessing a fatal accident, one that could have ended his life also, James Holmes decided to enter the world and life of what was then, an ambulance driver. That was 29 years ago. He evolved to the present day, providing outstanding care and empathy to those who call for help.

James is an ICP, but a “dinosaur” is how he refers to himself. To say he’s loved and respected in his home community is an understatement. Constantly fielding questions and concerns through calls, texts or even out shopping, always lending an ear and offering medical advice or a hug, or both.

He dedicates himself through his career and volunteering with the Shelburne Volunteer Fire Department and leads their MFR program at the department.

I feel, as I’m sure his community feels, James is a great candidate and deserving of your recognition.”
