NS Healthcare Hero: Jason MacDonald

“We want to nominate our dad Jason. Better known to his coworkers as Jaymac, he has been working as an ACP in the Sydney area for over 26 years.

I don’t know anyone more deserving of this than him. He is a true hero to all four of us kids. Dad is always willing to learn while doing his job. He was a safety coach, a watch commander and is the co-chair for OHS. As if that wasn’t enough, He now works as an Emergency Preparedness Special Operations paramedic.

He is always willing to help out and volunteer especially at Christmas when he takes us to the food and toy drives. He always has time for family. But us kids always come first. The last few years have been hard for all of us this would be so amazing for him.

We always hear all the time how he is an amazing patient advocate and goes above and beyond for his job. Molly is the youngest and she drives dad crazy most days asking him questions because she wants to be a paramedic just like him and our oldest brother Matt. Please consider our hero for this as he deserves it.”
