NS Healthcare Hero: Lindsay Wilkes

“I would like to nominate my girlfriend Lindsay Wilkes, who works for Northwood home care. She has worked the entire pandemic except for 5 weeks last year when daycare was shut down. She goes to work 5 days a week with a smile on her face. She looks after our most vulnerable and makes sure they are always happy and well taken care of.

We just learned that I have a mass on my liver and going for surgery next week to have it removed. Lindsay looks after her clients everyday, then comes home to her family to play and look after our kids as well as help me after my surgery. Lindsay will alway be our hero. CCAs do not get enough respect for all the hard work they do. She does not know I’m nominating her, and I hope she wins! What a great surprise that would be after everything that has happened over the last year.”
